’Twas the week before Christmas, yet all through the year, there was a pandemic that stymied your cheer. The kitchen was stocked with Cheez-its and wine—surely, two weeks would be enough time. As months passed and life stayed put, spring, summer and fall became seasons of glut. But don’t worry now; don’t forget what you’ve seen—you can feel healthy this season, thanks to Las Vegas Magazine.

1. Red Rock Canyon (redrockcanyonlv.org) There’s no better form of exercise than hiking, for not only do you get to work out, but you also get to explore. Along Red Rock’s 13-mile scenic loop, you can stroll along easy walking trails or climb atop red mountains. Either way, you’ll feel accomplished.

2. Stay Well Rooms at MGM Resorts (877.880.0880) Travel much? Well, these health-conscious rooms within MGM properties cater to you. In your room, you’ll find an air purification system, specialized lighting, a memory foam mattress, and more, all designed to lessen the impact of travel on the body.

3. Canyon Ranch spa + fitness (The Venetian, 702.414.3600) Take care of your body and mind with a therapeutic massage. Treatments such as the chakra-balancing massage, as well as other Eastern treatments like acupuncture, reiki and shiatsu, will help you find your zen.

4. El Dorado Cantina (3025 S. Sammy Davis Jr. Drive, 702.722.2289) The authentic Mexican cuisine is so good here that it’s easy to overindulge. But whatever you eat, whether it’s carne asada, tableside guacamole or street tacos, you’ll find comfort knowing all the ingredients are sourced from quality vendors, and are fresh, organic, and non-GMO. As a bonus, vegetarian and vegan dishes abound.

5. Las Vegas Walking Tours (888.571.6587) If you love two-for-one deals, this attraction will take you on a guided tour of historic Downtown Las Vegas, while helping you hit your daily step count at the same time. The 1-mile tour features stops at Downtown Container Park, Fremont Street and more.

6. True Food Kitchen (The Forum Shops at Caesars, 702.340.2600) For a long time, true food was ew food. But thanks to the wellness boom, healthy food is now much tastier, and there’s no place better than True Food Kitchen. The butternut squash pizza, the juicy turkey burger, or the teriyaki quinoa bowl will blow your mind.

7. Qua Baths & Spa (Caesars Palace, 866.782.0655) Stress is often pervasive, so take the edge off at this day spa, where relaxing treatments are plentiful. The hot stone massage with aromatherapy is especially soothing, but if you’re really tense, dig into those tight muscles with the deep tissue surrender.

8. Rail Explorers (877.833.8588) This 4-mile railroad tour is a great way to get outside and view the desert landscapes surrounding Boulder City, Nev. But you have to do all the work. Each rail cart is pedal-powered, so you’ll definitely work in some cardio during this adventure.

9. REAL BODIES at Bally’s (702.777.2782) Most Vegas attractions help distract you from your own mortality, but at this unique exhibit, it’s unavoidable. With the help of real human specimens, each section highlights the complex inner workings of the human body. There’s also a new exhibit that explores the effects of COVID-19. Of course, the experience itself won’t make you healthier, but it might encourage you to make healthier choices in the future.
