Although many times watching football means nothing more than plopping yourself down on the couch in front of the TV with a beer and some chips, in Vegas you can up your viewing experience, and if do you want chips and beer, you can up that, too. Here are just a few things to do and places to go for a game this week.

Money, Baby!, the new sports restaurant at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas with about 200 TVs, offers specials like $35 beer buckets, $5 beer-and-shot specials to fans wearing a football jersey on game nights, plus a Sunday celebration with $5 hot dogs and burgers on the patio.

Inside Caesars Palace, you’ll find the Stadia Bar, a ball-shaped venue with booths and an intimate bar, plus a kiosk specially for sports betting, plus an enormous sportsbook. The super-friendly Virgil’s Real Barbecue in The Linq Promenade has plenty of TVs and offers game specials including smoked wings, half tossed in barbecue sauce and half tossed in hot sauce for $19.95.

Tailgate Social, the sports bar and restaurant at Palace Station, has concocted a menu celebrating dishes from Las Vegas Raiders’ opponents during each home game, so nosh on the Chicago Dog on Oct. 10 when they play the Bears. That’s only part of the fun at this locals favorite.

What is destined to become a fan favorite is the Bud Light Beer Garden on Hacienda and Las Vegas Boulevard South, with picnic tables, massive screens and food and drink for fans.

At Sahara Las Vegas, Casbar Lounge features $20 bucket of domestic beers, $7 Modelo Micheladas and $13 Boiler Makers during games.

Downtown, you’ve got plenty of options, starting with Circa Resort & Casino. Stadium Swim has a monster of a screen waiting for you to enjoy the game, and the sportsbook inside is huge—actually the world’s biggest!). Travel down Fremont Street to El Cortez and you’ll find the intimate Ike’s (named for owner Kenny Epstein’s dad) on the casino floor, with 10 TVs and happy hour (5-7 p.m.) drink specials like $3 Bud and Bud Lights, $4 Anchor Steam and Modelos, and more.

Off-Strip, El Dorado Cantina (at 3025 Sammy Davis Jr. Drive and 8349 W. Sunset Road) also features drink specials during gamedays with $25 imported beer buckets and $20 pitchers of draft beer, plus get a free draft beer if you wear your favorite team’s attire. Woo-hoo!

Boyd Gaming is also running Beer Football Friends specials throughout the season at Sam’s Town, Aliante, Gold Coast, Suncoast and the Cannery, with domestic beers going for $3, $4 for hard seltzers and $8 for cocktails. And just for fun, check out Las Vegas’ displays of hometown pride, with the Sphinx at Luxor donning an enormous black eyepatch, and a chocolate-and-sugar piece celebrating the Raiders at ARIA Patisserie.
