For nearly six years, Circa Resort & Casino has shone as the jewel of downtown Las Vegas—after all, it was the first casino-hotel built there from the ground up since 1980. So, it might be impossible at this point to find someone reading this that hasn’t visited Circa. But even so, we’ll bet that even though you’ve strolled around the joint, you might not know some fun or little-known facts (or even secrets!) about this hot spot. We’ve rounded up 10 of them for you. Check out this list to make your visit that much more exciting!

1. Vegas Vickie’s. You can’t miss the neon sign that presides over this lounge. Vegas Vickie is 25 feet tall and 20 feet wide, and was acquired by Circa owner Derek Stevens in 2015. But did you know that she debuted in downtown Vegas in 1980 and married famous neon sign Vegas Vic in 1994? They divorced in 2017. In 2020, Vickie got a refresh and was restored to her glory.

2. Barry’s Downtown Prime. Yes, come for the steak, but don’t miss the roaming cocktail cart where you can order a Manhattan or Old-Fashioned that’s created tableside (make sure to break out the camera for this one!). The restaurant offers a special vegan menu, too, with tons of yummy choices.

3. Mega Bar. It’s a behemoth drinking destination, spanning 165 feet. It’s Nevada’s longest indoor bar. But did you know it’s secretly called Girth Bar? The online Vegas community jokingly called it “the girthiest bar” in town. Stevens decided to embrace the joke and put a plaque that reads “Girth Bar” on the west corner of the bar.

4. Stadium Swim. Yes, the ginormous screen is the focal point, but there’s outdoor gaming here, too. Sit down at one of a handful of tables in a shaded area and play a few rounds of blackjack.

5. Stadium Swim (fact No. 2). While other pools close as soon as the sun starts to set, this massive pool complex keeps its doors open till 11 p.m. 365 days a year.

6. Crazy Girls statue. The bronze statue was unveiled at the Riviera in 1997 to support the topless show Crazy Girls. After the property closed, the statue was put in storage till Stevens purchased it. It now lives at the entrance to Legacy Club and is known to bring guests good luck if you give one of the derrieres a rub.

7. Sportsbook VIP booths. You must check out the tables in each booth. They are covered in old Las Vegas media, from newspaper articles about sports betting to fun advertisements like one for the Sundance Casino that offered a breakfast buffet for 69 cents!

8. Circa | Sports. Yes, this three-story sportsbook is crazy massive and impressive, but did you know that the carpet design is inspired by the wild suits that Stevens wears?

9. Victory Burger & Wings. All hail Canada! Only for the month of August, guests can order its most popular dish, poutine fries—crispy fries loaded with brown gravy and cheese curds.

10. High Limit Area. Perhaps the biggest secret of Circa is found in the high-limit area—a bar hides behind the Marilyn Monroe eyes painting! (Tip: Ask the concierge how to get in.)
