Kevin Rega has come a long way from where he started. “If someone would have told me 13 years ago I’d be where I am, I would have told them they’re crazy,” he says.

Rega, born and raised in Southern California, grew up building and working on racecars with his family. “Drag racing was always my favorite,” he says. “They’re extremely fast—it’ll blow your eardrums out!” Rega spent more than a decade around the track and in the garage of racing shops until he got a job on a UPS airport flight deck, where he spent seven years. So when he moved to Las Vegas in 2007 at the urging of a friend, a career in nightlife was the last thing on Rega’s mind. But 12 years later, he’s now the director of customer development for Chateau Nightclub & Rooftop at Paris.

“When I got to Vegas, some friends convinced me to get into the nightlife scene, doing security,” Rega says. “I was never into the nightlife scene, though—I didn’t realize how the Vegas clubs were so intense. But I interviewed for a security position at Pure nightclub, got the job and it took off from there.”

Rega’s career really did take off from there. He worked at various nightclubs and dayclubs around the Strip, climbing the ladder from security to host. Five years ago, he joined Chateau as a host and a year a later was promoted to his current position. “I drive to get to the top no matter what I do,” he says. “I don’t settle. I have a strong work ethic. I’m a yes guy, not a no-I-won’t-do-it guy.”

In his role at Chateau, Rega’s responsibilities include sales, overseeing the host team, taking care of operations throughout the club and helping to plan all the major events and parties at Chateau. “I like to call Chateau the ‘every-persons club’,” he says. “We want everyone that comes here to feel welcome.”

All eyes in the club will be on you and your party when you order this 1.75-liter magnum bottle of Belvedere vodka. “It’s one of the club’s most popular orders,” Rega says. “Depending on what type of drinkers people are, you can usually get about 30 drinks out of it.” Chateau has long been known for its reasonable pricing when it comes to VIP tables and bottle service. “We want everyone to have a VIP experience, not just someone that can spend 10 grand,” Rega says. “Not everyone can do that, so we try to keep our prices reasonable so the average person can come experience a VIP night out in Las Vegas.”
