When comedy magician Farrell Dillon was 13 years old, he attended a Lance Burton magic show. “He brought me onstage and made me disappear in a Corvette and I was like, ‘Dude, I want to do this; this is what I want to do with my life!’” he says. “That was my guy. All the magicians had our magicians growing up. Mine was Lance Burton—the person you looked up to and went, ‘That’s what I want to do.’”
While Dillon’s brand of magic differs from Burton’s, he does perform on the Las Vegas Strip, as his idol did. You can find him every week at 4 p.m. at Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club at The Linq Promenade. He’s been at the venue for more than two years, performing along with wife Amanda and their dog, Eisley.
“I love doing shows here,” Dillon says. “I love doing family entertainment. It hits every age bracket. The 75-minute show is high-end, sleight-of-hand magic, some danger stunts, comedy, heavy doses of irony and audience participation.”
Before Dillon started at the club, he spent nearly a decade with CW’s popular Masters of Illusion TV show, live tour and Vegas residency. “Live performance is the best way to experience any type of entertainment,” he says. “It’s an immersive experience, you’re with people and everyone is experiencing the same thing. My show—it’s just a hilarious good time. It’s just fun. I have fun, like you’re going to have fun. So come down, I want to spend time with you guys!”

Libation: Neon Boneyard
Many of the cocktails on the club’s menu are inspired by Jimmy Kimmel’s family and the city of Las Vegas. A popular pick for the warmer weather is the Neon Boneyard, mixed with Absolut vodka, simple syrup, lime juice and Fever-Tree ginger beer.
