If you are craving a taste of the sea but want something out of the ordinary, Javier’s is the place for you. The Mexican restaurant presents an array of seafood dishes and flavorful ceviches including octopus, fish tuna and shrimp. Other great starters include totopos de mariscos (seafood nachos with shrimp and crab) and an appetizer plate loaded with empanadas, seafood quesadillas, taquitos and sopes. Order a margarita or cocktail to start or sip a glass of premium tequila—there’s plenty to choose from.

Javier’s also offers seafood entrées like seasonal fish in a Veracruz sauce; seafood linguine with shrimp and crab plus a prawn and scallop topper; and camarones con rajas (white prawns in wine, garlic butter and poblano chiles). If you’re in the mood for a steak, you are covered—Javier’s has everything from filet mignon with chipotle cream to bone-in ribeye accompanied by stuffed chiles. There are also traditional Mexican combination plates, with burritos, tacos and enchiladas, all with rice and beans. So comforting.
